A tale of an Apocalypse, an EVE story
After running countless level 3 security mission, Bastila notice the pattern and repeated mission starts to kick in. With a close to a perfect 10 rating for SOE. With this she begins to write a breakdown on the ship, she used to run on those level 3 security missions the has been logged.
Starting with the biggest ship an alpha clone could pilot, a Battleship. Out of all the selections, why choose the Apocalypse?
Simple, Lasers and range. Which cost less to no restocking. In return, limited damage type as lasers only damages EM and Thermal as compared to multi selection missiles and ballistic ammo which also limited to only the Amarr natural enemies.
This only holds true if you are fighting ship size to ship size, but with the limitation of only up level 3 security mission, a battleship is overkill here, regardless of damage type.
Moving on to the ship selection, it was either the higher damage Praxis or the longer range Apocalypse, and range wins due to lower risk and skill level to operate for missions also Quan JinGong loss his praxis for not paying attention, which is a whole other story to tell.
With longer range and tracking, the Apocalypse has become the core basic for Pew Pew inc mission running and the motto, no repair if they cant hit you.
First priority to fit all 8 guns with the highest possible damage modifier.
In this case 8 Tachyon Beam Laser with 4.5x damage modifier
in Eve Online every basic weapon fit will come along with 2 extra damage module, for Lasers its Heat sink. And Bastila has enough training to fit T2 heat sinks for more damage.
Next is the core component that makes this fit works, Microwarp Drive. without this mod, this fit is useless. Bastila know this right after she lost her rapture due to it.
Unfortunately, after getting all 8 guns, there is not enough power so fitting a Power Diagnostic System is needed to fit the remaining modules.
Now obviously this fit is not cap stable, so instead of having damage rigs Bastila added more capacitor rigs. However, there are 2 low and 1 mid open slot for specialized variation.
so here is the final basic fit of Bastila's Sniper Apocalypse. which can 1 shot anything destroyer and below.
The difference of extra 50km targeting range and an effective of 4km optimal damage range without the range mods of the already impressive 100km targeting range and 41 km optimal range.
