A little somthing about video content
Well so far i have been uploading a lot of videos, like videos uploaded a lot. Back then it was for me to get into habit on keep constant recording gameplay footage and upload them, but time has change.
First is the video size, just did a single player run For Honor and i got into a few roadblocks, Mainly the problem with uploading and file size and most important the "Day 1" stream delay. The main part is the delivery time, i was late into the day 1 party because i needed to do a few more steps rather than just play and upload. This could be solve with live streaming, but i was not ready for it.
And because i use the traditional way to edit my videos, the extra time needed and render adds up, some edit is a must for shorter duration but the time needed to render is equal or greater on the length of the video.
Next was a deal breaker, it took me extra 2 days to figure out why Youtube takes so long to upload a 70+GB video. I realised it was my internet speed, which also a factor why i did not do a live streaming gameplay. It was a decision on quality over speed, and because i wanted to upload high quality video, i missed the hype boat.
It was a very exciting experience to rush out a video on day 1, and i will make more preparation for it on the next game. Learn something, improve and adapt.
It's time to change the format that i will present my videos, as part of the reorganizing for this year. Less to no PSA videos, because there are plenty out there, and i want to focus more on the gameplay itself.
Most of the video that i will make will be singleplayer part of most if not all games, and throw in some highlight reel. More explanation on the format for individual games on a later post where each game that i cover will get their own post.
Lastly Youtube and dailymotion, Getting these 2 channel into shape. You tube will still be my primary channel for Average Casual Gamer, and as for dailymotion, as an alternate channel i am thinking on limiting certain video content and format for it. This is because of the restriction they have.
Lets not forget my twitch and Youtube streaming as well, but that's for another day. Because issue with internet bandwidth.
