To be a responsible Citizen , guide in pledging your first ship
You must have read alot about star citizen, the development and such. You felt that its time to jump into this crowd funding game, enjoying the super early access or and just enjoy the development ride, which i did.
First and foremost is to use the referral code

moving on, getting the game package.
They have plenty of ship package but i will recommend these 2.
Why? because these are the only 2 package that comes bundled with SQ42, their single player game with the cost of 15 USD instead of 45 USD. And out of the 2 package, Mustang Alpha Star Citizen Squadron 42 Combo yield the most value due to the ship cost 5 USD more with the same price, This is important if you are planning on future cash upgrade, but since you going to SPEND REAL MONEY, this next section will help you to get the most.
The base game cost goes like this :
Star Citizen ( 15 USD ) + SHIP + SQ42 ( 15 USD ) = 60 USD starter combo package
Star Citizen ( 15 USD ) + SHIP = 45 USD starter package
Aurora MR = 25 USD
Mustang Alpha = 30 USD
so we have established that the base game will cost you 15 USD, therefore Mustang Alpha Star Citizen Squadron 42 Combo is the best buy package.
This section is very easy and yet quite confusing because you will be utilising a feature Star Citizen have which is the Ship Upgrades, what this does is it will carry over your existing package perks onto another ship.
The first step is to get the highest possible insurance, in my case only Life Time Insurance or LTI, which is on sale in a very limited time( usually in the concept stage ) there was a 30 USD ship back then and a 50 USD right now( going off in a day or 2 ), if you missed out on it don't worry, you can always keep an eye out on anniversary sale which carries 48 months.
Next is to compare hangars that bundles with the ship, and there are 3 hangars available to purchase separately.
each hangar carries a price tag on them where by i will factor into getting a particular ship, and how hangar upgrade works is if you by the highest tier / expansive tier you get the rest of it. a break down would be:
Aeroview = 20 USD
VFG Industrial = 10 USD
Revel & York = 20 USD
so personally you want to aim for the cheapest ship package when you are planning to upgrade, Currently Hull A is the cheapest package that has the VFG hangar. if you are getting any ship more expansive the 60 USD please get a cheap ship, upgrade to Hull A and then upgrade to the ship that you want.
