A simple Star Citizen Challenge, Rules and Guide

Ok so i have quite some fun ever since i pledge into Star Citizen, and recently there is a problem... you can call it an addiction, quite serious if not controlled, buying ships in Star Citizen is a very major issue for my wallet, plenty of ships to try and own.

I believe is the issue of owning things aka ship hoarding, i used to collect many things, still am but because of this habit almost anything that i see that is worth collecting i will try, but does not mean its good, if you cannot get through the day and still collecting things, that's hoarding and its not very healthy for you, but hey who am i to judge you on collecting stuff, but fear not i have come up with a plan to counter this ship buying addiction!

before i go through with the rules and guide, note that STAR CITIZEN IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT , everything is subject to change and everything is achievable in game.

also read here and here first before you start, good luck citizen spend your money responsibly

The rule is very simple.

  1. You are allowed to allocate up to 15 USD per month maximum( since most subscriber base games cost this much on average, based on eve online and WoW )
  2. You need to complete a full lap with the current ship you OWNED WITH CASH in a Race, not so hard right?
  3. You need to survive at least wave 3 on the vanduul swarm in Drone sim or Spectrum Match.
  4. Complete 2 Unique Mission in the Persistent Universe.

Note: if you bought a ship that is not flyable at the moment you are allowed to use the placeholder ship to fulfilled the above challenge. And for capital ships and multi crew ships, you have to wait for 2.6 to drop before i can issue the challenge, however most ship this size is not available yet, why not use your starter package ship to play around?

Complete the steps above then you are allowed to spend that allocated cash on any cash upgrades you want. The reason behind this is to explore the game, as well as trying out other ships before you reach your desired ship, learning the controls and mechanic of the game, getting the most out of your money.

If you are going to invest so much money on a game, i'm talking throwing out more than 60 USD for a game, at least learn and try all the available game modes the game has to offer right?
