New Player Guide for Star Citizen Alpha 3.9 Edition

Starting with the a famous recommendation pack from me. The mustang alpha Star citizen + Squadron 42 Combo pack at 65 USD. wait what? you said only 45 USD? and Why the mustang alpha? what about the Aurora?
Good question! Let me start off with the difference between the 2.
The RSI Aurora is the OG for star citizen as its the first ship that was built for the game! however previously there was some price discrepancy when the Mustang Alpha is introduced as a starter pack.
The RSI Aurora has a Bed and is fairly maneuverable, it was original advertise as the common class ship anyone could buy and easily upgradable, but with alpha 3.9. some of the upgrades is removed and in return change the ship to be a "variant" hull, which means there are many BASE Aurora to start from. and some components are Hull lock ( pending confirmation and subject to change).
The Mustang Alpha is the direct competitor in Lore and boasting its maneuverability, which is better the the aurora but the Alpha does not come with a Bed.
Is the Bed really necessary? well. YES! the bed is the most important mechanic currently in game to Log off at my last known position. Think of it as a temporary spawn point that will get reset if you lose the ship or death. An utmost important ship feature for travelers.
The aurora is priced at 25 USD and the Mustang Alpha is priced at 30 USD. So a safer route is to pick the higher priced ship. HOWEVER, with the current game mechanic. The Aurora is become the most New Player Friendly ship.
If you were to only OWN just 1 ship that is bought with real money. Pick any of the 2 because you can't go wrong with it. plus you can always melt for store credits and buy the other package.

Do note that you ONLY need the Starter pack to play the persistence universe and SQ42 to play the single player campaign. All Extra ships and add-on are not needed to fully enjoy the game.
