Star Citizen - Understanding Warbond and Warbond CCU

Greetings citizen! So It has come to my attention that CIG has introduce a new Warbond CCU as of late, started by a recent concept sale. The RSI MANTIS. now before we begin.

during the last year i believe alpha 3.1, CIG introduce us their "Warbond" marketing strategy. An old post about Warbond and also a basic guide on pledging your first Package!

But wait, every year around especially this week. A special "Starter" package with the best kind of insurance! so hold on a updated beginner guide will be posted soon!

Back to the topic at hand. previously CIG use to have the option of paying using pay pal, credit card, and "Store Credit" which is by melting ships in order to "exchange" to another ship. a guide will be posted soon as well so dont worry and keep an eye out during this week.

In 3.1 everything change as most concept ships is now becoming flight ready. So "Warbond" is introduce, which any ship or package can be only bought with pay pal or credit card and if you want to use store credit to purchase it generally more expansive and having shorter insurance. Also starting with a few recent concept sale *ahem Tumbril Ranger and the Mantis, CIG has added extra item namely ingame clothing to the Warbond Package.

And so with this citizen con sale, Warbond CCU is being officially introduce. Which you guessed it, you need to use pay pal or credit card to purchase this upgrades.

The good news is that the offered ship is "cheaper" if you were to to buy it. Like this Cheaper Polaris!

Still cheaper than the store credit right?

Anyhow should you care about Warbond? for New citizen who is looking to purchase your First Pledge, I say hold on until the last few days of the sale and Free Fly!

Because focus on having fun testing various ship is more important now as for backers like me, Well i have been putting too much money in this game and with that i can share my experience and strategy into pledging and getting the best value one could buy.
