A Login Promo Hero Science ft Aquaman

As of today there are a total of 2 Promo hero introduced so far.

Amazon wonder women for the month when the movie released and recently Aquamens for the introduction of patch 1.5

With the introduction of 1.5's using gem to promote hero. Things gets interesting for future time limited Hero.

Starting with the login promo.

As recorded AWW I have manage to gather enough shards for a 3* with a surplus of 78 shards.

As for Aquaman ,176 shards in total.

With a little chart and some at strategy any player can easily earn a 4* ( or 5* ) right after the promo ends.

The silver * chart:
Unlock : 10
1 - 2 : 20 - 50 gems
2 - 3 : 80 - 240 gems
3 - 4 : 160 - 480 gems
4 - 5 : 300 - 1050 gems

( old gem promote data as 1.6 patch changes the amount )

The condition:

Unless you can gather 170 shards this method will work in theory.

10 for unlock, gem promote to 3* for 290 gems and use 160 shards to promote to 4

And then if really want take the final 5* promo for 1050 gems.

Total gem cost will be 1340 Gems for a 5* Promo Hero.

Compare to the traditional route where you promote from 3* onwards with a total of 1530 gems with a surplus shards.

So the question would be, it is worth it to go through such effort to save 200 gems? Or I can just keep it at 3* and not spend gems.

My other reason is to check out the revised gem promote cost for silver for the latest patch, going to use my silver Aquaman for it, ( he is quite useful as his passive does gives defence buff and a chance for stun resist )
