Lets Talk EVE Online

Just end of last year 2016 EVE online when free to play, which means… Finally i can play without subscribing! but it comes with limitation like WoW starter. 

Eve online was the main motivation for me to start game blogging, and have been challenging me to create content a bit different from the usual crowd. Reason is that i could not find a lot of videos has i wanted to watch in You Tube too much PVP perhaps? or maybe i just play the game more care bear isn.

Why play Eve online?

EVE Online is one of those games that l like because of INTERNET SPACESHIP! indulging my inner sic fi fanboy. How can you not resist being the captain of a large battle ship? or a fleet commander in some intense space pew pew like Battlestar Galactica? but all in all Eve online theme was very rare in that particular genre let alone in an MMO

I could not recall what make me look into Eve online as back then anything MMORPG related was WoW, and all things WoW and Ragnarok Online and every Chinese/ Korea MMO + clones , but somehow i get to know, so whoever did an article or marketing back then, you got me. EVE Online is also one of unique MMO out there that its not a typical RPG, no leveling no traditional grinding and most of the stories you heard from the internet are 100% player created drama and action, maybe a little scripted. 

So not a MMO RPG?

EVE Online offer a unique time based character progression, where by a player train by selecting a skill and then wait, in real time. What EVE does it also lets you train your skill even when you long out. Something most mobile time gated games does these days. You start of by picking 4 different race and then a race faction to determine your “starting role”. Usually a typical MMO game starts with a fresh character, grind to max level, and end game content. But not in EVE Online, you start off with a fresh character with set of pre trained skills depending on your faction you choose and then star your end game content right away, level grinding needed to access the end game content.

EVE Online is a sandbox

Because how the game was made, you can do what ever you want within the game even stealing other people assets and ships and everything. Scamming is the one common thing in EVE and on top of that its legally ALLOWED to do within the game. Also Politics, one of the game there i learn the hard way, i used to have a corp and drama happened. It was an experience, the anger and drama that i was in. Sometimes it can be very real, but always remember that EVE Online is a game. If you are ever caught in this blackhole of political drama and stuff, i will advice to take a step back, have a break. But for those to crave it, sit back and enjoy the show.

How will i play EVE Online?

Since EVE Online went free to play, i have been reading up on what are the restriction on their free to play module and skill cap. so i have decided to max out all 4 different race as the first goal. 

Perhaps collecting all the ship blueprints? i wanted to play the game passively by making and selling ships, but i bet lots of preparation is needed. but time is limited. But until all my 4 racial character is train to its peak, i will withhold all other plans for Eve online. 

Current schedule says i should upload 1 mission video every week.
