Dragonball Legends early impression

So a new Dragonball game just drop recently, and so I went to check it out.

This game different from a lot of those action games as it is featured in portrait mode!

The start of straightaway without any lengthy intro, which is a welcoming feature. The tutorial offer is straight and simple and takes only a few minutes to complete.

So how does it play? The standard is those swipe left and right and tap to attack or avoid attacks. On top of those dragonball added "card" attacks akin to special attacks.

If you are new to Dragonball series them every special attack require Ki which in this case the utilise much of it. An added bonus is that there are 2 more special attacks that can be only triggers on certain condition.

Much like the anime series, playing in portrait mode for Dragonball works as they look like watching the anime or reading the manga.

Graphic is quite decent and can consider as polished as the current time. Having various games as well helps "reusing" higher end models like in consoles for mobile. Gameplay is smooth also.

The story however follows a new ark, but also offer an event story which feature part of the original story.

Being a Japanese game, this game have a gatcha system as well. So look out fan boys, there will be tons and tons of money sink for them Gokus and any character with multiple form.

Overall its a fresh new take on fighting games, one that I will spend a Littleton time playing and analysing it.
